It has been 3 years and half since you birth. You may not understand what I am writing right now but I have a lot of things I want to share with you. I hope you will be able to understand and appreciate them when you grow up.
First of all, I love you very much and I am grateful to the Lord for brining you to our midst. You cannot imagine how much joy and happiness your birth you brought to me and our family. Grandpa was so happy when you were born and the 6 months he was able to spend with you were probably his happiest time of his life.
Second of all, I have meant to write a series of letters to you since you were born but it was delayed. May this letter be the first of many to come. Why am I doing this? Well, we all have a lot of emotions and thoughts at different times. Some are transient and I may not remember them later. I need to capture my thoughts by writing them down at the moment. May these letters be a lasting testimony of my thoughts and emotions toward you. To me, that’s a good thing.
Lastly, I intend to share some things I learn over my journey of life and hope you will find these letters useful.
Love you, Dad
